Most after market heads have a pre out and you can get all the wiring harnesses off of e-bay which is much cheaper then halfords. It's not too hard just match the harness to your disco as Td5s have the BMW round pin iso connectors.

I have got a 2002 TD5 I have had it a couple of weeks and have noticed that it is not going through the gears as smoothly as it should. It seems to want to hold on before going to fourth and then it all settles down. Any ideas.
