I'm all about the pictures and video, they really help a lot (as you probably figured out I'm not a mechanic). So, if the brake is binding( clicking) it might just cause enough hesitation in the overall running of the engine cause by carb. Issue making the engine to quit briefly.

Yes it is a LHD with a 2.25 engine. That makes perfect sense as to where I heard the clicking sound. Next question is why would that cause the temporary cut out of the engine. And two, if the emergency brake was partially frozen would cause the draggy loss of power?

Are you talking about using a metal bx sheathing ? Or a more flexible rubber product. Would there be an issue attaching it to the chassis?

Something tells me I am in a better position to afford an education in continuous chassis repair as a posed to the cost of a galvanized new one. If I fail...there always plan b or g as it were.

I'm going my first landy tune up. As I look at components I find genuine Land rover, Lucus and off the rack versions of the same product are available. There's a Lucus distributor in itnow so I figured it original. Here's my question...am I better off using the Lucus, matching the distributor...

Can anyone tell me if f a NGK BP5ES is the same as BP5ES -11? I have a couple of nos plugs that came with the landy when I bought it. I figured I'd use them but I'm unable to match the plug code exactly.
