Finally sorted, I replaced the cheap slave with a good quality slave then reverse bled with the slave unattached with the plunger pushed fully in to make sure no air trapped. Easy to bleed and working great. Thanks everyone.

Hi, I have fitted a new master and slave cylinder and a new flexible hose on my series 3 with 200tdi fitted. I can't get a clutch, have ezybled it reverse bled it but no joy. I have put a plate across the slave to stop the piston coming out but still no peddle. If I blank of the master cylinder...

Yes plenty of fuel and pulsing in right order

fitting 200tdi into series 3, trying to start engine before rebuilding rest of car. Rebuilt injectors, new lift pump, new battery, timed, fuel bled. Will not fire but will fire on easy start but dies when easy start removed. Anyone near to Holmes Chapel, junction 18 M6 HELP!!

Bled all pipes even used an electric pump to make sure enough fuel, loads of fuel at injectors.

Putting 200tdi into series 3. Want to check it runs OK before going any further. New head gasket and timing belt fitted by Land Rover specialist. New battery turns over freely, fuel stop solanoid working, timing correct, fuel system bled tappits checked and OK. Tried small squirt of easy start...
