Yep am literally standing outside the car, turn the key in the ignition and go straight to the driver side rear wheel arch. Am so confused, car starts and runs fine (now the injector harness has been replaced!) The car spends its life towing horses around and my worst fear is it letting us...

Update - turned ignition to position 2 and practically put my head in the rear wheelarch but can here absolutely nothing yet the car starts and drives fine! :confused:

Hi there, This is what I originally thought. If it isn't whirring any ideas what the problem actually is? As I said in the original post the car starts and runs as normal (the rough running seems to have been resolved by the clean out of the ECU plug and replacement of the injector harness...

Thanks for the responses so far. Regarding the air con fan I don't have aircon fitted so assume it isn't that. Is interesting that there is a mix of noises and silence for people with Discos!
