na 300 goes ok but have read in magazines that earlier pumps that were fitted to 200 had rubber seal made from different compound and veg oil slowly dissolves it. later pumps as fitted to 300 have more modern compound seal.

went to change the front heater plug on my 300tdi and when i took it out the end (last inch) has sheared off and is still in the head !thought it mite pop out with the compression but after a week it is still in there ! other than taking the head off anyone got an idea how to remove it ?
