    help with range rover vouge

I must be lucky then. Got a '95 Tdi, had it for 6 years goes like a train, especially with the Twisted Performance bits on. No problem with the box, touch wood, just the usual bl**dy rust on the rear cross member!

    Testing injectors whilst on vehicle.

Hi, may or may not help but I recently had a problem with my RR 300 tdi. Accelerated and it coughed and ran out of puff at between 2000 and 2500 rpm. Kept my foot down as I was trying to overtake someone and she suddenly fired up and left the road behind covered in smoke. Afterwards...

    Fuel starvation??

Just had the same problem on my 300tdi. Checked the sedimenter and the fuel filter, still wouldn't accelerate above about 2500 revs. Running out of ideas, it was freezing working outside, and fearing an injector pump problem I asked my local diesel people to check it out. Thery ran a...

Poor economy from a V8 RRC...

Sorry if I'm being dense but when you say 'the front slitter/spoiler thing costs 3-4 mpg ' do you mean it's less efficient with it on as I thought it was meant to give better economy.

Advise please on P38 2.5 verses Vouge 200tdi?

I agree with DavieF. My softdash 300tdi had been put back on coils before I bought it. Couple of years back my exhaust needed changing and I thought I would like a bit more power. Went to see see Charlie at Twisted Performance and had a much larger intercooler fitted and a stainless steel...

Advise please on P38 2.5 verses Vouge 200tdi?

OK the BMW lump in a P38 is, if properly maintained, a bit better and more economical than the tdi. But the tdi, as said earlier, is easier and cheaper to fix. The 300 tdi is better than the 200 tdi. Wait for the sparks to fly! Buy a decent Classic and when the air suspension fails...

    Need Urgent Advice and Help

Blimey, away from my PC for a day and had to go through pages to find out how Jay was getting on  Jay, IMHO if you wait until next Tuesday for a response, you will then reply and the solicitor will be away until the New Year. If you don't act now you will lose the initiative if you...

300TDi Auto box - no drive

Not really an auto expert but if the ATF is brown that's really not a good sign. Drain it out and see if you find anything in there that shouldn't be! Personally I would be worried about having the box rebuilt by anyone other than an expert. Second hand ones used to be cheap which was...

    electric fans, worth it?

Or you can buy one off ebay already taken off and save yourself the petrol. I bought one off a Peugeot 205 for next to nothing and put it on my 2.25 Series 111. Heats up quicker in winter and never needed until in a traffic jam in the summer. Controlled through a switch on the dash.

Help me get her back on the road :)

It does sound like the battery is on the way out. A new one is not expensive, I have used Alpha in the past. 072, 4 years warranty, next day delivery, £65. Use this price as a benchmark. Likewise an alternator is cheap if you need one. Check the oil to see if there is any water in there...
