Yeah it's not the pump.. Its been rebuilt recently still has the marks in it. I think. It just hasn't been set up. Properly personally. Off the top of my. Head something like intended fuel timing out of range or along those lines. I'll plug in soon and get a pic.

Yeah it idles bang on boys. Literally you wouldn't be able to tell except from when starting and plugging in the fault code won't clear.

I can get one through my local parts dealer for 1500.i was going to replace on old engine before it blew through lack of care previously. No need now just need this one set up. On the thread you sent me to. Wammers mentions the boxes in the fuelling on nanocom. And says not to change any value...

Wammers on. Mine when I go into this I have lots of boxes but there's no value in any except the idle which is 128.is this how it should be?

I have to admit I wouldn't even bother getting one refurbished. Id but new. I know it's a lot of money but it's peice if mind and alot of miles.

Like I say. Its not running like a worn diesel. It's running perfect. But the hotstart issue and modulation issue I would bet is because the pump wasn't set up correctly after it was rebuilt. So I'm going to set the static timing before spending out on chains.

Yes. And I've always ran diesels. It still sounds like a tractor. It doesn't sound like a sports car. It sounds as a diesel should. There's no knocking or slapping from the chains is what I was clearly getting at.

OK ill look into the parts I need grrrr mentioned and get it up on rave and try setting it then. If not then I k ow the chains need doing

As in the in tank pump or the eas sorry. Thing is the motor sounds sweet. No knocks or rattles. And it appears that the injection pump on it was changed before the old car was scrapped. I'm. Only guessing but even an idiot would change the chains while changing the pump. So is there anything...
