Ok, so every time I get home or to a rest, my rear back suspension box is making a buzzing noise on and off rapidly (say 3 seconds each time for about three times or so)... maybe it's just me but the air suspension does sometimes feel tighter than at others these days too, but more on the front...

oil was ok. no signs of anything untoward in the box.. my Disco is still doing this - but only on a journey of over 75mph and for more than 30 minutes???? other than that, it does seem a bit sticky dropping from 3rd to 2nd gear - anyone any similar experience???

not me strip off, of course, just the rusty sections of metal/paint!

quick update - my rust is on the outside of the doors, but on the inside frame vertical section i.e. the bit that splits the main window from the quarter light.. both doors in exactly the same place. I have looked at several other 2002 Disco 2S in car parks and a lot saeem to be showing...

mine is remapped and I run a K&N rechargeable air filter - which does seem to make a difference.. got it real dirty 6 months back and put a paper one in for a while - now breathing better with the K& recharged and I swear it is giving better mpg.. hard to tell without a trip comp though...

anybody any ideas - mine is still doing it after an oil change too... doing the wrong thing and servicing it soon at LR main dealer (!) so will ask them - but can't wait for the barrel load of excuses or expensive suggestions they come up with! P

surely RSM72 your TD5 has had bits dropping off it when driving then? My TD5 has the same wheel arches as every other.. they were a dark grey colour, but are now sun bleached light grey and patchy!!!! Bought some Halfords Trim Spray and even spent the extra for the prep/degreaser spray.. now...

Ouch.. both doors are still showing through rust after painting temporarily with a grey sealing paint.. I thought I would simply paint black over that.... but if the tops do bolt off then I'm going to take it apart, rub down and treat properly and then respray & rebuild... what a pain for just...

while I'm on with tarting up my 202 Disco 2, has anybody else's Disco2 shed all the black/grey paint on the plastic wheelarch trims? Mine are not looking pretty... fading from grey on top sections to the raw plastic... Halfords do a plastic trim primer and paint.. may try this unless anyone...

MY 2002 Disco 2 is developing small spots of rust on the inside frames of both rear doors - only where the frame enters the bottom rubber seals.. anyone any thoughts on the hassle that is going to ensue if I decide to remove the seal, rub down and repaint - assume this need the inside door...
