Well I tried the HDC trick today and can report after another full bleed of the brakes things are much improved. The pedal is now much better with engine running although not perfect yet ..... maybe more HDC cycling required. The brakes in general are much improved but still on the weak side in...

I returned the injector pump timing to the factory setting, light now gone:)

Could someone please measure the resistance of a known good No1 injector, the one with the needle lift sensor. I don't want to waste money buying a new one if it's not required. Thanks.

Yes, but 3 of them don't have any wires. I'm refering to the needle lift sensor on no1 injector.:D

Well I have investigated the noisey timing belt issue and still can't find the cause. I checked that the timing pins inserted ok then undid the bolt securing the tensioner and checked it was free to move. I then reassembled everything only to find no improvement.:( Am I the only person to have...

I have removed the belt driving the alternator/ air con, it made no difference. The noise seems to be coming from the engine mount end. I suppose I will have to strip it down and investigate.
