when breakdown cable tied it together i assumed the socket was on the lever not the road. I'll take the rod off and see what state it's in

It has failed where the linkage joins the lever on the gearbox. It is currently held together with a cable tie. The lever is now obsolete, does anybody know where I might be able to buy a new one or anywhere that might supply a new insert for it please?

Ok, thank you, Can the nylon insert be replaced? How is the lever attached to the shaft, is it a roll pin or is it fixed to the shaft and box out job? Phil

Good morning, Yesterday the linkage decided to part company with the selector lever on my Freelander 1 TD4. Is there a repair kit for the lever and how easy are they to remove please? Thanks Phil

box was out 2 weeks ago due to failure of slave cyl and rear main and g/box seal were both dry. Def transmission fluid as it's clean and engine oil would be black. Don't think there is enough hydrolic fluid to leak without losing the pedal

I have a Freedlander 1 TD4, there is gearbox oil coming from the bottom of the bell housing, the gox front seal was dry when a new clutch was recently fitted. Has anybody else had the same problem and found the cause please?

I have a 2000 Freelander with the blower switch only working on position 3 and 4, will it be the switch or does it have a resister?

I'll have another go at the weekend and see what happens, just need to dig out the test mode instructions again.:(

Thanks, i'll have a search. I did try putting into test mode but couldn't seem to get it to work, did get the tailgate to open again but then the glass stopped dropping or being able to be opporated by the switch although when i press the button it clicks at the back as it there is power.
