Did yours show the M+S lights? Mine doesn’t show them at all...was wondering if yours was flashing or anything like that
-
Did it take long? I might need to do that myself
-
Was it easy to remove the XYZ switch and do the repair...well clean inside it?
-
Hello Dave,
I’m afraid not!!! It is still happening....I got a feeling that the pack within the auto box is on its last legs :-(
-
Easy fix so nothing to worry about. I had this issue on my Freelander and disco.
-
Also....oil in loom and ecu can cause issues
-
Hello, yes this can cause the issue you are facing and also a fuel pump that's on its last legs.
-
Hello, you have done the best possible action other than open the unit and clean with new seals.
I know many people who have had this issue and after why you have done it's gone on for years without an issue.

Under the seat is a connector...they can show fault due to moving the seat back and causing either the wire or connector to come undon.
The other is due to dampness getting into connector.
I would advise having a look under the seat and seeing if you see any loose cables or connectors. If so...

Taken it for a little test drive and noticed it works and responds like it should in low gear...when in high it's sluggish...slow off mark and does what I said above with reverse.
Did the same thing when I started it....in high...in reverse foot flat down and staying at idle rev...nothing...

What is a a rough cost of that?
Cheaper than a second hand box?
-
-
Ok will do guys, thank you all for help.
How much are clutch packs for the disco?
-
I have it booked in tomorrow. Just don't want to be taken for a ride.
Does the automatics have a built in clutch? Would it be something to do with that??
-
Yes mate but wanted to see thoughts first.
It's all cost at the end of the day...cost me arm and leg for recent work :-(
