hi my 4.0 p38 is 1998 I thought if I connect p38 alternator oil temp etc. it will think it still has gems engine as 3.9 has own ecu stand alone set up . just to connect these to p38 keep it quiet? just a thought will gear box work as still original ? thanks paddy

thanks. my 3.9 v8 does have a cux 14 ecu but it has been [ jerry rigged] to run stand alone . before I got it. they said they did it from a you tube video and it does run ok. will the becm be fooled if I connect ancillary's from p38 on to the 3.9. the eas . has been already nobbled before...
