Well after a long long wait the gearbox still isnt fixed .. Most garages wont touch it and just say it needs a recon box. It is now in a local transmission shop and the latest news is still not great. New valve body and oil cooler which is being quoted at £1200 inc vat. So is it a job i can do...

Hi I was on my way into Plymouth on sunday when i started to hear a low rumbling noise from the rear of the car. Have had a quick look and one brake drum is getting much hotter than the other so I think it might be the bearing. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a 2.5 V6 X reg Thanks.

Hi . I was on my way to Plymouth yesterday when i started to hear a low rumbling noise from the rear of my Freelander. First thought was wheel bearing but i am not completely sure . The rear nearside Drum feels a lot hotter than the other side. Any help would be appreciated .
