I have a similar problem, my TD4 at idle has a misfire and then usually whikst driving around the 2000rpm mark.
Now ive heard something about a common issue with a 2k misfire and read so many different fixes, had the codes read today and the only one that has shown itself is P1605 Power...

thanks guys, what youve said hits the nail on the head, always at 2k revs is when it kicks in.
I will have a look at the injectors just incase, but this is not a daily drive, so may just cut my loses and get a disco or if my wife lets me, a 110.

hey guys
Having an issue with the engine, almost surging or searching for revs. Whilst running at a constant speed (doesnt happen under acceleration or when off power and coasting), there is a very small and sudden surge in the engine, the revs or the speed dont jump at all but you can defo...

So a follow up on this issue. One of the turbo intercooler hoses was loose and had a small amount of play in it. Once i tightened the jubilee clip the jerkyness at highways speeds stopped which is great, the jerkyness however and that clicking sound still remains only when cold once it is above...

It only ever .
Checked the crank pulley and all seems fine, bit of play in the belt when idling but tightens up fine when revved, also had a listen to the injectors on idle as well and all seem to be sounding fine, driven on the highway this morning and juddering was intermittent at highway...

Thanks for that, that has put me on the path, I was more worried that its a serious issue. I'll look into the injectors more as a possible cause/solution, but yeah will probs have to wait for the Uk to wake up.
Thanks again.

Hi guys im reaching out dor help again here, as i was so amazingly helped with the 3 amigos. Turned out to be a solenoid.
So the engine has developed a tick/click sound and a short jerky loss of power almost feels as though you lift of the accelerator and then go back on the power quickly...

Excellent, found a solenoid kit from the states off ebay with all 9 solenoids, trying to source from the uk but too expensive. My dad is trying to get me some as he is a parts manager in Wiltshire, so fingers crossed he can get me a discount on genuine LR noids

A friend is suggesting that the speed sensors will be up **** creek also? not sure how much experience he has with LR but he knows his cars in general. is this likely, I did get an engine speed signal error code? not sure if the sensors would be in the box or not. had a search on here and google...

Co
Coo I'll check it out. Got pretty much everything i could need so shouldnt be too hard, just finding the time.
Fingers crossed.
-
Its either that or the ipack. The solenoid code is the code that comes up the most.
How easy is it to change, also will i need to change both brake solenoids as there are 2 2-4 solenoids within the box?
-
Yeah a few have said a new ipack will do the trick. Definitly my next port of call.
-
So an update.
I got a ful diog done on the FL and this is the list.
Before i write out the list the codes were cleared and she ran great for 40mins and the f4 hdc has now come back. Also the codes on there i do not know what codes are old codes that were never cleared so i will be get another...

Sorry i meant the '35-45°' when i said up to temp. Doing it old school with a thermometer.
Ok I'll put more in until i get some out of the overflow. I'm putting in what was recommended to me by my LR parts manager its a full synthetic by penrite, as the stealership wanted $104 per litre for...
