Hi all,
My old 90 sits outside filling with water during the week so I was thinking of getting a cover which would be unfurled at the weekend. I don't want something that takes 2 hours to put on / take off but can be removed quickly. The car is off road so it doesn't need a tax window or to...

Thanks Pos, I do have the 2.5TD 19J. I'm not too certain if the engine is rough as this is my first Landy and I have only had it a few weeks so don't have any points of reference but it doesn't feel problematic ( and two different garages have worked on it in the last two weeks without comment...

I posted a thread a week or so ago about my concerns regarding a new vented filler cap. When I undid the cap there was a sharp intake of air suggesting a vacuum build-up. Today however the reverse seems to be happening. When filling up today I noticed the cap almost popped when I undid it due to...

The fuel was pouring out as the rubber seal was shot ( I think ). The engine is diesel. I just filled up again earlier and after 2 miles released the cap again and even after that short distance there was quite in intake of air. I will check that I was sold the correct cap.

I have just replaced my filler cap which was so vented that about a quarter of tank would be lost within a mile of the filling station. I'm worried by the sharp intake of air though when I release the new cap ( which was sold as vented ) and wondered if this is normal and also what are the...

Hello,
I'm looking to get my old 90 some Waxoyl treatment and wonder if anyone can recommend somewhere to have this done. I'm just South of Cambridge. Thank you !

The consensus seems that my plan will be foolhardy and as I came to the forum for advice I am happy to take it. I will try and find a Landy over Christmas and spend some time getting to know it before embarking on any adventures ( although I will be the first to hit the streets of Milton Keynes...

Yes, perhaps I should get to grips with the vehicle before undertaking this journey in winter. There will be other opportunities but I don't want to be undeterred from getting Defender for future trips. I have never considered my assistant as a meal but after just having stopped at Avonmouth...

I'm going to Jokkmokk which is in the Arctic but only just. When I have been there before in winter the driving conditions have been pretty good even in snow but I have not driven there from the UK. I see this trip as a test to see if I can do anything more adventurous in the future but of...

I have been there before and to be honest it sounds more exotic than it is. Think Milton Keynes in the snow and that's where I'm going. Likely to be on main roads most of time and will have equally hopeless ( mechanically speaking ) assistant with me.

I have been thinking about getting a Defender for some time ( never owned a Landy in my life ) to do a trip to the Swedish arctic next Feb but am worried about my lack of mechanical knowledge and lack of 4x4 driving skills. My budget is not huge either ( about 5k ) and was thinking about a...
