Considering moving on from my Disco 1, was totally set on a Defender 300tdi until this months LRM landed on the mat! I've heard all sorts of horror stories about D3, Electronic this that and the other going wrong and costing a mint to repair! Best people to ask I recon is you guys out there...

Looking for a nice 90 but want one with windows! If I get a solid side 90 is a mahoosive job to put window panels in? If its easy enough it gives me a much bigger choice to select from obviously ! Cheers for the advice in advance.

Yes it goes across fully but won't go forward! Goes back no problem!

High/Low sorted! Can get it in lock but not Diff! I've tried the Neutral and Park but it does not seem to want to go in! Ill keep trying but in all I'm pretty sure that for the off reading ill be doing that should do me for now! Thanks again for the info!

I'm out tomorrow looking for a decent place to test the lot! Ill try it on the move! Suffice to say it is defo engaging Low now and I can get it into diff/lock which I couldn't before so defo a step in the right direction! Cheers guys. Ill let you know how I go on tomorrow .

Tried! Went in smooth as a babies ass! Now it goes in and out free as you like no bother in all 4 modes no bother! Seems to be ok in low but obviously wasn't able to test lock/ diff! Thanks a million for the help. Saved me a load of grief! Appreciate your time.

I've tried the transfer box on my Disco 1 1994 M which has been owned by my Dad since new and I confident that its NEVER been used. It will disengage and definitely goes into neutral and seems to select Low ratio but having driven other vehicles in Low it does not seem to be actually engaging...
