After installing the new gearbox this (coming from harness) cable is left over and I just can't fint where it's suppose to go. Any ideas?

Yes, it's still labeled on the box upon delivery but on their faq they now changed to dexron. Also got that confirmed from dave ashcroft via email

Well, mad I am but that's another story :) thanks so much for all help!

Ok, I've installed my Ashcroft R380 and filled it up with Dexron III according to Ashcrofts recommendation.
They say they find Dexron III to be better than MTF94.
Gearing is a little notchy, and there is vibration while driving (I feel it by holding the gear lever)
Is this normal? Must admit i...

That's right no problems after that! Could this also be an earth point for the fuel pump? Maybe the problem was that the vibration while driving caused the earth wires to disconnect/connect hence the fuel pump only was operation "randomly"?

I've read about the redline MTL, but it costs 4 times more...

Thanks for all of your replies! I will borrow or buy a crane!

So my new R380 gearbox just arrived from Ashcroft and I'm now doing some research for the swap procedure.
According to Haynes manual it's recommended to use a workshop crane inside the vehicle as well as a jack underneath.
Does anyone have "hack" instead of using a crane? (since I have to...

Yes, that's what I thought lower profiles would achieve, more sideways stability. But it doesn't seem to be worth it considering the cons listed above!

Aha, so it's best to stick to 85 then...
