well thanks everyone, but we test drove a tdi disco today and surprisingly it was slow and sluggish,that was a 300tdi. But we test drove a 200 tdi Range Rover as well, and boy did that have some poke. We are now looking for a Range Rover tdi. Good turning circle me dad says as well.

WOO, it now lives once again. Put the new ignition switch on and before we new wat was happening it was purring away like a cat next to a warm fire. So it did turn out t was the switch afterall. Thanks again everyone for your help and advice.

hey guys just a quick update. Got the old strobbe gun on it today and the timing was way out , set it up and it running albetter but it still got that very slight odd beat about it but far better now . thanks

woo got it running now not perfect but still it lives once again. Had a look at the wire that goes from ignition to coil, pulled it of and straightened it out and tried it. Wen we tried to start it it turned over the fastest it has ever done and it started. Cheers for the help lads!!:D
