thats brilliant guys thanks. My 5 door has major rot issues and will cost a fortune to fix but have located a 3 door which haven't seen yet with a seized motor. Great help cheers again. Rob

looking at a donor vehicle which is a 3 door with a 300tdi in it wasn't sure if they made 300tdi 3 doors

Hi there i had same problem. I used about four pieces of strapping and riveted them into the tubing underneath seems to have done the trick been on gfor a while now.

things are getting better now found rot on both wheel arches heyho

cheers for that. Got them off to find a real horror story underneath. Rear wheel arch has rusted where it joins the sill and split.:eek:

After a slight excursion into a ditch i am replacing all damaged panels. I've come a bit unstuck with the pastic sill trim. Is it riveted on or am i being a complete numb nuts? cheers guys :)

i've always had 90's before and inherited my dads 300 dico a couple of years ago. Only mod is steel wheels and insa turbo sahara tyres,. To answer the question it is a very real landrover , mines a working farm vehicle and goes everywhere my tractor will so to those who tell you they're not real...

Hi guys my 300tdi has started whining over 2000rpm sounds like an excited owl under the bonnet, at first thought it was power steering pump but leaning towards turbo. Any ideas chaps?

have stripped her down as far as taking top off selector but looks like i'll have to disassemble low box selector too. Think i might let a proper lr mechanic at her tomorrrow lol.. cheers guys
