Hi, did you ever find out, any info on your Landy? I have an 1980 - 88" petrol. The VIN says it's a 109". It's down as an ex-military with this VIN. Regards Paul

The only Filament to LED changes I have don were the dash lamps. And the only issue I had was the -charging lamp, it wouldn't go off. So I put original lamp back in. Will look at fitting a resistor one day.

Could be.
Unfortunately, the Chassis has been replaced and the number was not refitted. And is not the VIN number either.

I have this number stamped on the underside of my bonnet (255). It’s a Series 3 – 1980. Can anyone shed light on the reason why it’s there?

On a Series 3 1980. Would the VIN number and Chassis number be the same?
I.E the last digits.
The "glencoyne" web site is showing pictures of VIN plates and calling them Chassis numbers, is this correct?
I ask this beacuse my S3 does not have a chassis number stamped on it. It's not been...

I’m going to inform the DVLA of the situation. I’m spending money on the S3 and if “Hot Fuzz” must go then the less of my time spent the better.
What a predicament, the whole family has emotionally bought in to it.

Although its harsh news, the more I delve, the more I realise, what you are saying could be true. The previous owner had it since 1993. I wasn’t a Land Rover person, but I needed a pick-up/van and this popped up via somebody I did some work for. Looked ok V5 matched the VIN plate all ok. But...
