I've been looking for that hole for ages. It must have wax oil in/covering it as there is no sign of it. At least I know where it is now. Cheers

I did the same with mine. An easy fix once you've gained access

I used Lemforder on both sides 12 months ago and no problems as yet. It's a pig of a job but very satisfying once done. I would invest or borrow a good quality ball joint service kit, an enerpac jack, a blow torch and a bloody big swear box.
I also changed the drive shaft seals whilst I was in...

If anyone is thinking of buying a replacement fuel pump anytime soon then I would recommend spending as much as you can afford.
I bought one for around £60 last December and I've just had to change it. I was having a few power delivery problems that I put down to either wastegate or a sensor...

Welcome Edward.
I have a D2 from 2004 ( Landmark) and I've had it for about 12 months now. I've had many teething problems like fuel pump, front ball joints, welding rear chassis under the shock mounts and even a new automatic gearbox but I absolutely love it. I enjoy working on it and have...

For those last two readings I removed the plugs and took the voltage with a meter at the plug itself. Wouldn't that be the supply to the sensor or am I getting mixed up?
-
These are the readings I have for the other sensors
AAP 4.96v
MAP 2.5v
Should the MAP be that low?
-
Not that I could see. Only MAF, air intake, coolant sensor, fuel sensor and driver demand in engine management.
-
The only voltage I could get off Hawkeye was MAF at 2.05v and intake air sensor at 2.68v. I'll get under the bonnet tomorrow evening to check AAP and MAP.
-
Also the wastegate was 3.12 at 3000rpm
-
I haven't taken the values at maximum or pedal released but all at about 2000 rpm. The driver demand 1 was 1.7v and 2 was 3.85v

Ok an update.
So, I have fitted a new fuel pump (VDO) and fuel filter and all seems well. I've done a 40 mile trip with no stutters or farts and smooth power delivery. All the figures you gave me Sierrafery all seem good apart from the Acc supply. I have a reading of 4.2v where your document...

Good idea, I never thought of that. Looking at the job with my blinkers on again. Cheers

Cheers guys it was only a long shot. Some of the aftermarket or replacement ones are either too expensive or don't look man enough so I think I'll remove one and replicate it.

Hi Pressbrake. I see from a former post that you profiled some plates for D2 shock towers. Do you still have the detailed drawings and were they only for a lift kit? I'm after standard height.
Cheers Darren
