If anyone is thinking of buying a replacement fuel pump anytime soon then I would recommend spending as much as you can afford.

I bought one for around £60 last December and I've just had to change it. I was having a few power delivery problems that I put down to either wastegate or a sensor issue but it turns out it was the fuel pump. I was going to change it anyway because the cheap one was only to get me by until I could afford to buy a more expensive one. I changed it for a VDO pump and its made all the difference. My power delivery issues have disappeared and it is so quiet I have check it's still working when I turn the ignition on. My last one was so noisy. I couldn't afford a genuine LR part but this one was around £250.
