Well after a short break of about six years I am back. The last Freelander died and was replaced with a Sante Fe which was ok... this was replaced with a Jeep Liberty which was also.... nice if not different. Now I am back to the Landy world with a Freelander 2 2012 which I pick-up tomorrow...

Recently the boot or tailgate on my Freelander 2 either opens on its own or will not open. If I slam the driver door the boot half opens but when I try and open it properly I can't. Anyone had this issue before?

Interesting..... Got a copy of the Sat Nav software from Sat Navi and installed the disk and after about 20 mins it was updated and working. BE WARNED - while updating it looks like the Nav has stopped working as it has it is updating but after the update it works fine. Very prompt...

Thanks for the reply...... It seems there are more choices than just ditching the in-built LR Sat Nav or paying LR huge amounts of money. Sat Navi is selling "back-up" copies of maps which although not ethical if you do not have the license may help. One of my team at work has purchased...

Well I picked up my 2007 Freelander 2 last night and I am over the moon. Had a Freelander when they first came out as a company car and a petrol one after that. It will be the main vehicle for getting to work but more importanlty it will be used for shooting and pulling the horse box. :rofl:
