    Transmission brake 1987 90

Had a similar problem recently, squirt the adjuster with a dose of WD and work it a bit, tend to be a bit stiff. However the problem with mine, was the linkage on the side of the box in the end. Muck and rubbish in the bearing. Take it off and give it a good clean and regrease, much less...

    Fitting Snorkel to 200Tdi

Guess it sounds like, I need to bung the drains then. Any advice on how to get at the duct ? Has anyone fitted any of the wading kits advertised on ebay ? Are they any good ?

    Fitting Snorkel to 200Tdi

I have been given a Britpart snorkel for my 90. It seems easy enough, but the instruction sheet is not conclusive.. Looking in the passenger wing vent, there appears to be a drain hole at the bottom. Do you normally block this up ? Do you need to get the duct out ? Do you remove the heater box...

Sorry been away for a while. Garage was RM Motors 01933 411149. Have had the problem back twice recently cleared with a flick of the ignition switch, but that could be the wheel sensors now....

Disco II ABS Module, Thats how much !!!!

Thanks guys, I am hoping the messing around with it has fixed it.. Even though it appeared to still be faulty after fitting the repair kit, over the last few days the fault has not reappeared. Even after trying quite hard and getting the TC and ABS working on all the wheels on some slippy...

Disco II ABS Module, Thats how much !!!!

Have had a few quotes for second hand at around £170 plus fitting. Still can't make up my mind what to do, as I do intend to keep the car for a while. Landies, you gotta love em. Anyway I did think of removing the bulb, but talking to the guy who checked it out (RM motors, independent LR...

Disco II ABS Module, Thats how much !!!!

Just picked up what appears to be a common fault with TC ABS and HD lights coming on permanently. Looks like 2 faults, the first with the 'shuttle valve' which the repair kit fixed, but a second relating to one of the wheel valves, so I am told I need a new module at £1000+ from Land Rover...

    Disco II Steering Groans

Does a bit, but the level looks to be over the min fill. Though I guess that would explain worse when hot. The old 90 takes Dexron ATF, but the disco manual mentions something else. Are they the same thing ? Thanks

    Disco II Steering Groans

Hi, The Disco's started making some odd groaning noises when maneuvering in the Tesco's car park at low speed from lock to lock. Seems worse when the old girls warm. Is this a common fault ? Whats the most likely culprit Thanks

    Blinkin Gearbox Lights

Hi Griswold, Tried what you suggested this morning before taking to the garage this morning and unfortunately it didn't make any difference. So dropped the car off and went to work, on going to collect it tonight the garage owner laughed and said, soon as he went to move it no sign of the...

Am having a run of bad luck with Disco TD5 auto. Its been dripping diesel on the drive, the ignition key won't turn leaving me stranded at work. And now to cap it all the gearbox 'M' and 'S' lights have started flashin' The handbook says this is a 'gearbox electrical fault' Does this mean a...

    Ignition Key Sticking in Barrel!!!!

Had similar problem on my Disco II. I took the cowl off and the problem disappeared. Put it back on again and it reappeared. So took it off again and left out the cylindrical shroud, that hides the edges and its worked fine ever since (touch wood). Needs a bit of further investigation though.
