Someone tried to steal my series 3 diesel by smashing off the steering lock assembly and breaking it. I have been told these are no longer available. Has anyone else had this problem ? How have you overcome it ?

Does anyone know of a Tow hitch that fits a discovery 1 and bolts into the 2 holes in the rear cross member behind the bumper , i am looking for a tow hitch that is easy to remove without the tie brakets that go onto the chassis.

Ah well u see Ratty, i am new to this computer stuff , i only just worked out how to change from Capital letters to small letters........I spoke to someone today who has got a 90 TDi who said i can have the engine...I just got to do a few favours for him.....Not Sexual Dummy....I was not sure if...

Can anyone tell me if a TDi engine from a Defender 90 will fit a discovery 1 V8, i would think the engine mountings are different...anything else ???? I know the wiring, hoses exhaust etc will be different. Will it fit a V8 gearbox ???:confused: :confused:

I currenty have a Discovery 1 V8 and am considering swapping the engine for a TDi from a Discovery 1. Does anyone know if the gearbox is the same, is the bell housing the same?? I am a mechanic anyway so i am sure it should be failey straightforward but any help would be appriciated ...:confused:

Could anyone tell me if 255 65 r 16 tyres will fit a discovery with a 2 inch lift without cutting the arches or carring out any other mods ???
