I have a whine that's started from my Disco. How the hell do you go about diagnosing the noise? I know I can drop a prop shaft but that isn't fool proof and would only give me a front or rear at best. It's road speed related and is worse under load. 96 v8

Little bit of an update... This is now mine. I've got another Epsom Green county import but an older rusty 300tdi they're going to get merged into one car.

My flex plate gave up the ghost this weekend, at least I'm guessing it has as I can spin it round with my finger through the starter hole. My first question is when it let go the engine reved up of it own accord it stopped when I turned it off and there's not excessive play in the turbo shaft...

Have done the conversion yet. To busy fighting the tin work at the moment. When I've finished spending almost the purchase price of the car on repair panels I'll look to do it. I'm tempted to recon the injectors but I may just be throwing money away. I'm planning to go overlanding in it next...

Anti slip floor tape. You can get a additive for paint as well but the tape would be neater. Any good hardware store should have both.

This is mine, single dinn stereo but with a larger front. It needs to be set at an angle to fit but I think it looks good.

Hoping someone can help me diagnose this noise. It's a 300 tdi auto edc. It started making a loud knocking noise when the engine revs drop too just before idle. Being a compleate bastard it's compleatly intermittent, but in an odd way. It will do it every time the revs drop almost on command...
