Well, as you can see in the video clip I attached, if on an expedition, its hard not to get wet at some point. So I do understand that the ECU will not survive if submerged, I need to seal it somehow or move it higher. What about the rest, the pump and relays?

It could in fact be a coincidence, but it would be very timely, as it just started after timing belt change. But maybe there are some new engine characteristic t exposed the ware in the potentiometer. I will check that.
