Thanks for the replies guys. Forgot to mention I'm up in Scotland..... As the old 2-1/4 petrol engine has seen better days I think I will opt for a 200Tdi. The old petrol unit smokes a bit to say the least - not to mention it's thirst!

Hi - Just got myself a 1969 IIa swb. In need of a bit of TLC - I feel a galvanised chassis coming on. While I am at it I suspect that I will fit a 200Tdi in place of the smokey 2.25 petrol motor. I have had a good look round the forum and found a lot of useful information on the conversion...
