Morning guys,
Just looking into getting a new radiator for my landy as I don't think this one will see me out through summertime.
Just wanted to know if all 19js had a combined radiator and oil cooler? if so whats the partnumber for this radiator? if not could someone point me in the direction...

Okay so I've used the revive turbo cleaner, fitted a catch can and cleaned everything out.
Conclusion is the turbo now spins alot more free, Alot let smoke on decel and start up. Low down pick up and general response has increased (got up the big hill in 3rd rather than 2nd).
So I'd say it's...

Okay so, Oil change on friday along with filters, got a catch can coming which ill install and ill clean the **** oil out of the airbox etc. TIL landys have oil stats?
However i am more worried about the turbo if im being honest, its a later air research one (good or bad?), im assuming...

Not on me as i'm at work, but will get one uploaded tomorrow. Do you know what turbo came standard on the 19j?

uh yes this is why I looked into this revive turbo cleaner stuff.. the turbo still spins up when the engines running but is stiff as once off.

But also I heard that the breather needs to be connected to the air filter for negative pressure or something?

You are probably right but seeing how much smoke the thing chugs I don't really want to be leaking slugdy oil into the environment aswell, ill see how the catch can works out, if not i'll try atmosphere or inside the chassis.

Its got alot of oil build up around the inlet housing and i cant spin the wheel with my own hands, i know its a journal bearing turbo (is that correct?) so it shouldn't spin freely, but surely i should be able to spin it?
Yeah from the little research iv'e done it seems as if most 19js breath...

Worn out rings and just a tired engine! my reasoning is that if the engines breathing oil into the air filter then the turbo surely is sucking some of that up and fouling aswell?

Thanks for the info, yeah I did wonder whether its meant for these old turbos, but as I've bought the stuff already may aswell try it!
Will keep anyone update if they're interested
The old girl is breathing heavy (catch can to be installed this weekend) and just thought i'd try use this stuff...

Evening guys,
Just wondering if anyone has had a go at using this revive turbo cleaner stuff?
https://reviveturbocleaner.com/
I've got an old 2.5td 90 which I cant imagine would get worse by using this stuff to clean up the turbo/carbon deposits.
Thanks in advanced

Evening guys,
I have a lovely 90 with a 2.5td 19j engine that i've only just realised has not got a clamp between the turbos hot exhaust side and the downpipe!
This I can imagine its not ideal to have exhaust gases escaping into the engine bay!
If someone could advise on the clamp I could buy...

yeaah i guess so, but at the moment, the viscous fan coupling is spinning freely when the car is hot, so im guessing getting a viscous coupling that actually works will make a difference? needs a new radiator but thats a little bit more expensive to replace! one thing at a time i guess!
also...

perfect, thanks for the help, hopefully all the effort changing the bloody thing will mean a cooler engine!
