I unleashed my secret weapon to get it open...... Wife. She prodded the handle this way and thata way and away it went!! I've took the carpet off the lower part of the tailgate as recommended. Ill get an auto electrician to look at it in the week. Cheers for the advice.

I've managed to get the door open this morning. Is there anything that can be lubricated to help with unlocking problem?

Hi. I have a 2011 Discovery 4 and the rear door won't unlock. Ive noticed there's a plastic cover near the latch and wondered if theres a key hole behind it to unlock the door manually? Or is there any other means of unlocking the door without to much trouble? Tia Mike

I`ve just had a look at one being changed on Youtube Lynall, looks an awkward job to do. Might be a trip to the the mechanics !!

I`ve had a development. I have altered the settings on the Fob to open all doors on first press. This is now opening the passenger and rear doors but not the drivers door!! Wonder if its a door lock problem on the drivers side?

Yes , it`s the same with both fobs.

Hi
My Disco 4 has developed a fault on the door locking system. None of the car doors will open after the car has been unlocked from the fob. The tailgate does however unlock when the tailgate button on the fob is pressed. Does anyone know if there is a common fault with the locking system...

It turned out to be the lower suspension arm. New one fitted and back to normal now. Thanks for the guidance chaps .

I have a knocking on the front drivers side when driving over bumpy terrain. I have had all the joints checked and the mechanic has said he can't find any worn joints. Has anyone experienced similar or know of a common fault? The disco is a 2011 and has 120k miles on the clock.
TIA

Thanks for the tips folks. I had to break the plastic clips to remove the blades in the end. New blades fitted and working a treat.
