my diesel p38 is an import and when it was first registered it was a Diesel manual and someone has converted it to an auto as far as am aware its not chipped or been remapped but it flies don't know if manuals are set up different than autos?

if i was you i would save your money as i bought my rangie a year ago and it is fitted with a one way valve and fuel still manages to flow back to the tank apparently its the two pipes on top of the intank fuel pump that are metal and they corrode and get pin holes in then air then gets in and...

mine used to be like that untill i changed the oil and filter autos need regular oil changes

well i have one of those symptoms- no mil and cranks but no start i also have no glow plug light but that could be the relay wel thanks for that think diognostics is the best way forward

no no one mentioned that can a short corse loss of sync?

i have just been out to check fuse 37 and relay 15 put another fuse in changed relay and still no check lamp or glow plug light

well i checked the fueses and i swapped relay 19 with one of the other relays and all is the same no check light and no glow plug light although the first time i tryed it the engine check light did come one for few seconds then went off never been on since

found relay 19 swapped it for another and still the same can the glow relay make the engine check light not illuminate when the ignition is turned on ??

arh right i am with you now thanks for that. relay 19 is that one if the yellow relays in the fuse box under the bonnet?

the fuse on the top of the relay is fine and i checked all the other fuses and they are all fine

i tryed to start it with easy start it fired on it but wouldnt keep running the engine is cold it has not been started since last night is this a sign of ecu killed or is it because the engine is cold and has no glow plugs to warm the diesel to get it to keep running
