Thanks, I’d heard some sensors were in different places and was concerned what issues this might bring up with the ecu, having to extend or retire the harness is not something I’d enjoy.
Ok, Td5 engine, blew headgasket and so I had the head skimmed and sorted properly. 300 miles later a light pinking noise developed and started to blow white smoke, with associated rough idling and hard to start but would run. Thought it was a lash adjuster but found out the fuel system was down...
Thanks James, so, in order to get that done, What is the least amount of components I need to take off the head to manoeuvre the finger follower away from the valve stem and gain enough clearance to manipulate the lash adjuster off.
Would anyone be able to explain how to remove a lash adjuster from it’s place in the head. I have one that’s failed and is not allowing the cam to make contact with the finger roller, I don’t want to remove the cylinder head and think it’s possible to do the swap in situ, albeit a bit tight...
