    we have a leak????????????????? help

Sounds like they "may" have damaged or torn the front CV joint gaiter (which isn't replaceable by itself if i remember correctly) on the front (vcu to ird) drive shaft The black "oil like" substance could be the grease from it. Or it could simply be some IRD oil if they pulled the shaft out...

    "Slightly" Modified Slave Bracket

Not very clear but you get the idea ;) The back plate tacks all the weight (instead of the front of the slave) and the clamp holds it firmly in place. Not very tidy or cut neater but it was a bish bash bosh job...

    "Slightly" Modified Slave Bracket

Its a 38mm, the smaller ones fit but the 38 had longer threads which were still a bit short hence the block below the clamp. A couple of bolts welded in place or threaded bar would have been quicker and easier I guess but it was quick bodge job, the cable ties holding it together last night...

    oil whats the best

MTF94 for the gearbox or an equivalent (you didn't say which you had) a GL4 rated oil DON'T use a GL5 in the gearbox it corrodes the bronze components. The IRD is 75w90 GL5 (semi or fully synthetic) Rear diff is 80w90 GL5. Methos.
