23 here with a 1998 discovery V8i.
had some fast cars, my other automotive love is the nissan 200sx, which i've had 4 of, 2 of which have seen some pretty big power :)

a good way of doing the bonnet is buy a block of blu tack and slap that on the bonnet where the nudge bar will be. just helps to keep clearance in mind, and means you can put lots of posters up on your wife's favourite wall of your favourite car when you're done :D

kazillions of variants of these available. some work nicely and bump the power / torque curves up nicely, others will be ropey. risk you take really. cant be specific as i've never used them, then again i'm used to tuning japanese cars and swear by rolling road tuning or live mapping rather than...

thankfully its to make way for a 2002/2003 model V8 ES model :D
someone buy it for me so i can get the new one, its sat there calling my name everytime i drive past it!

the box should be fine, get a thule one, usually found on offer at halfords :)
you'll find the fittings make them very adjustable, and thule are about the best i've seen :)

think what he means is the axle is the type fitted with disks, and how is the axle lubricated ;)

no problem :) basically the timing normally needs to be adjusted to compensate for the different combustion properties of LPG, i.e ignition temperature etc. a lot of bodgit and scarper type companies just whack the timing round till it works onm LPG fine. trouble is when you go back to petrol...

do they have a hot start solenoid?
i'd be inclined to say its a glow plug at first as ming has said, but if the freelanders have hot start solenoids it could be related to that.

3 weeks for a paint job is a pretty long time!
i'd be inclined to go for the full rub down and respray to be honest mate.
dont know what warrantly land rover provide on the paint, if any at all. be surprised if its more than a year if there is one though. especially on defenders which generally...
