Thanks for th reply. The freelander has 121000 on it. About 2000 of mine. Don’t know if the ire has been changed so can’t confirm the mileage.

No gear crunching just a whirring noise like a worn bearing. I’ve had the td4 2 years and the tyre have always been matched. The nois is only here when the car is not accelerating or under load. It goes when you accelerate.

All tyre are the same and only about 100 miles on them.

looking for a transfer box for my freelander. Hopefully in west wales. Thanks.

My 2006 td4 freelander has developed a noise which appears to be rotational but is not present when accelerating but as soon as I freewheel or not accelerate then I get a rumbling noise which seems to be coming from the front N/S. any ideas welcomed Thank you.

Hi, Got home yesterday in my 2006 freelander 1 to find the two front wheels very hot and the smell of pads burning. Tried it today and for some reason now the front drivers side is normal temp but the passengers front is getting very hot. Would it be the calipers sticking or the sliders gummed...

can anyone tell me if vehicles that are not 40 years old becone mot exempt when they are or is it like tax exempt vehicles were only tax exempt if they were 25 years old when the change was announced but cars that eventually get to 25 years old never qualify to be exempt.

hi, the fixed part of my power fold mirror is broken and I would like to know if the same part off a non powerfold mirror can be swapped

New job today. Rear n/s widow cable snapped. Replaced with an eBay one. Perfect replacement but what a pig trying to wind the inner cables around the white nylon wheel. Working fine now though. Tried the other side rear and ping crunch. So ordered another kit.

Well, stripped all the brackets , applied rust treatment after removing them from the steps then painted with hamerite .Drilled out the old fixings as the bolts were rusted in. Fitted new riv nuts and refitted ro the steps using stainless bolts all round then mounted to the landy. Looks good now.

Electric wing mirror needed for my 06 freelander 1. All the electrics are good , as is the glass but the housing has a piece out of it so any thing considered please. Thanks, Mel

Do you mean riv nuts to accept a 6mm bolt with a 10 mm socket size?
