Thanks to all who replied.
Ali, I thought for the relatively small amount extra for the full regulator over the repair kit it was worth it. Obviously, in my case I'd have to go motor hunting now. Every day’s a learning day…👍🏻

Replaced OSR window regulator. Motor dead in the water. Been in since 2012 apparently.
Anyway all done and working again.

As per above, finally got round to swapping the regulator. Motor dead in the water, not the original - from 2012.
Aaand all’s right with world again…
-
Many thanks for that Ali.👍🏻
-
Cheers Ali. Is there a OSR specific vid, or even a rear one. The only ones I can find are the tailgate end fronts.
Regards,
M.

Thanks Freddie, the very same place I found. Glad you’re happy with it. 👍🏻

Hi All,
As per the title, the OSR window failed halfway up at the weekend. There were a few weird noises just before failure - no grating, humming more like something I’d imagine if the wire has snapped and the motor is pulling it along. I’ve managed to get it all the way up and stay there...

Yes Andy you’re correct it’s on the left of the column. 🤦🏻♂️ Unfortunately I’d ordered the widget before I saw you’re find, although plenty of USB’s is always welcome.

Thanks Andy. Nice find. I’ve got headlamp levelling there but I’ve a blank switch above the heated rear screen in the group of 6 - heated front screen maybe? I’ve had a dry run today removing all the central console and there’s a wire pair coiled up presumably for the rear power socket option...

Thanks again all of you for your replies. Will be ordering the necessary parts again and will definitely investigate the rear socket wiring. Thanks for that J_D. 👍🏻Will report back with pics when it’s done.
Cheers,
M.

Thanks for your replies.
GG. That’s what I did in the MG. From what I can tell in the FL to get the console off you need to start behind the front seats and work forwards! Getting at the wiring in the MG was easy - I just pulled the cubby and ashtray out and could snip the two cables, solder the...

Hi All has anyone fitted an aftermarket USB charging socket in their FL1? I fitted one of these :

in my MG TF as I got sick of the USB leads from the cig lighter interfering with the gears and hand...

Replaced back box. Picked up last MOT as the outer was rusted and coming away. Not blowing. See the pic of the old one below. Looks suspiciously like a date code, if it is, it’s done very well. My FL is a March 06 registration on 157.5 k miles. Original? NOS sometime? Needed one of them wrap...

Well the plan was to replace the El Cheapo front ARB bushes with some poly ones - Floflex not Powerflex to see how long they last.
TLDR: didn’t happen had to put El Cheapos back.
The polys when measured side by side with the others are bigger. Maybe because the others have compressed while in...

I think there’s a bit of confusion about this post, with regards to the heater knobs. I don’t have any problems with surrounds - the red and blue, direction or fan speed are all lit up as they should be.What I was asking initially (although I didn’t word it as well as I could have) was should...
