    Yeah thats it small spring clip that holds the outer and clips onto the catch, should have had one on the old cable though.

    It does fit as i have done the same to mine, but i seem to remeber a small clip being involved on the end of the cable..

    Thats the whole point of a relay, you would not have to change the cables, just put a bigger cable from the battery to the relay, and the other cables can be smaller.

    I would say it was down to poor earthing? My standard cables, correctly terminated and earthed are more than up to the job :)
