Good point…will check that when in get up the courage to crawl underneath it. Does it have to be on a level surface rather than ramps and engine running to check the gearbox fluid level?

I bought mine with quite a few issues which I am working my way through….main ones now is gearbox fluid change and I believe front nearside air strut is leaking. Good luck with yours

Thanks Brian, Seen the Britpart kit for around £180 with metal sump and detached filter including the ZF fluid. Looks doable on the videos with tight access on a few of the sump bolts. My RRS has no history and 170,000 on the clock.

*********SUCCESS************ I finally cracked it…. I did not have the permanent 12v on pin 8 of the gear shifter connector. 12v on the BCM fusebox so a disconnect on the purple/blue wire between the two. The 12v leaves the BCM via pin 45 of the large blue connector bottom of the fusebox and...

Hi, Checked the earths at the A and B pillar bases have yet to check inside the passenger wheel arch. I could see corrosion on the fuses at the BCM fusebox. Just removed it to clean all the contacts and check the connections for water ingress.

Just thinking about the gear selector are they interchangeable between all the L320s irrespective of engine size ? The one on my supercharged is gear selector 6h32-7Z370 , I can’t see the supercharged gear selector on the net or eBay, it shows the 2.7 and the 3.6 but not the 4.2. Wonder if the...

Reading up on a few forums …i believe it’s a voltage supply issue to the gear shifter if the headlight trick works, so will be looking at the fuses on the BCM fusebox. The other thing I am unsure of is the lamps/leds on the gear selector are they supposed illuminated on the sport like the L322...

It cleared up pretty well with a toothbrush and contact cleaner, Was hopefully spend some time on it tomorrow. Assume that that when Drive is engaged a signal is sent to the TCM. Not sure if the wiring goes directly from shifter connection to TCM or does it run via the BCM fusebox?

Cheers Tricky I know what you mean, a sense of achievement when you have managed to fix something. Will have a go at anything electrical or module related. Gearbox flush and megatronic will leave to the experts or at least someone with a lift 😉
