Thanks for asking young lady. Wow.. I definitely won the lottery and a second chance to do things right.. The word happy doesn't get close to how I feel💝
I fitted the stalk with trip computer buttons and it doesn't work. When I get my hands on a nanocom, I'll check if it can be enabled and update the post here for future reference.
Out of curiousity, I tried disabling the Trip Computer in my GEMS High-Line BECM today. With it set to "Not Fitted" the stalk trip button does nothing. Re-enabled it again & checked it's working.
@P38DieselOwner Try fitting the stalk first...
My son has this on his 38', at high speed in normal setting he gets a vibrating but at motorway height and at speed it disappears.
I can't remember but one of our 38's has a phased and the other doesn't 😵💫
Hmm that may be the issue then? I did do another test on the motorway with changing ride heights and it made no difference at all on the vibrations. Which would indicate it's not to do with the front prop phasing as then vibrations would decrease...
My train of thought is...
Deal with what is apparent and progress from there.
Normally if there is no other evidence to hand, it could quite simply be "that issue found".
I'd say 9 times out of 10.. Vehicle depending of course 🤔
I have been annealing the PLA parts to increase the resistance to warping and make the parts more solid in general. This is done at a slightly lower temperature than normal though so guidance says it should hold up to about 80'c
I wouldn't worry about the differences, you seem to have the evidence that the trip computer is present in Lowline, I was unsure. I'm surprised that Lowline supports cruise control although it is mainly a function of the EDC. Every day a...
Hi again everyone, I have checked and I have an L so lowline, but I noticed that the DSE with the correct stalk also has a lowline BECM. Now I am wondering, what difference is there between lowline and highline?
If the car has cruise control, I'm 99% sure it has a Hi line BECM and surprised it does not have the stalk for the trip computer, sounds like the stalk has been changed for the wrong one in the past.
Should be on a label on the BECM ?? Do you have stuff like memory seats or mirrors ?
Also as you don't have a location, nobody knows if there's a Nanocom near you !!!
Just a thought, it may not work if you have a low line BECM. If it works you will also get by scrolling through the functions, average fuel consumption, range and average speed.
There are 2 on the P38, the first is reset by the button in the binnacle, the second is reset from the button on the stalk and is used for fuel consumption computation, range etc.
If you have to make a lot of stop start manœuvres the suspension will adjust depending on what is needed for the car to decide it's height status. I'm not 100% certain but when the car reaches a certain lower speed like at the lights it will...
If you go fast enough on your local drive and the suspension is not locked, then there will be height changes related to speed. I keep both mine locked at motorway height.
