structural gaffer tape though lol once you get under the cab the chassis is on really good shape it literally drops from 3mm thick to 1mm in one foot

yeah it would be tragic to find out cluck resulting in a bent arm. but yeah they clear fine

that's one rear outrigger finished I have to start repairing the other side of the chassis before the next ion can go on

the cage is going to be built by JFT fabrications and no I'm going to skip the hassle with the mounts and just directly weld it to the outriggers

the sills will be fully welded to the body and to the outriggers

an that is with the sill attached as well the outrigger needs to be 100mm at the chassis but my gas clyinder ran out so we arw getting there this was done with a 200 amp mig welder and that has done the job nicely so far when I was underneath welding away a droplet of weld landed down inside my...

also some puddle welds help to connect the plate not just around the outside edges but also in the centre to increase its strength and durability. l still need to weld on 6mm tops and bottoms to create that "C" shape.

hi all so I'm building up a discovery pickup to be the most awsome greenlaner but still be practical purpose hence the pickup and not a trayback bobtail.
so it's getting a rollcage that will be compliant with msa bluebook standard. my outriggers are non-existent so I've had to fabricate my own...

true can't see it being a problem if I can't find a battery with a vent pipe I can just house it in a sealed plastic box with a vent pipe of its all

that is most of what's happening to the chassis also outriggers and spreader plates are being added for the roll cage hopefully they will be welded on this weekend. hopefully
