intercooler hoses new and intercooler flushed out from old engines failure,where is the fuel filter located? engine breathers?

Hello, more investigation found that when engine idling sounds ok then rev gently ok till 1800rpm then sounds like turbo kicking in emits black smoke and knocking noise..

Hi just bought 2004 td4 freelander half way home 200kms knocking noise has started in the front.I'm sure it sounds like cv joints is this a problem in this model as we bought the car for my wife to drive around in the bush where we live. Cheers Rob M
