No, it tells you when you are low on coolant and then you can check yourself, I'm not the seller of the item but am sure if you asked him directly he would give you all the answers you need. I just found it a very helpful first indicator that the coolant was lower then it should be. I wouldn't...

It has a warning light and buzzer but it doesn't turn the fans on. It literally tells you when your coolant level drops below normal (i.e. you have a leak) allowing you to pull over and check the vehicle. I would rather pull over and check then have a fan turn on personally.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. Got it done today with using a little fire and angle grinder (last damn bolt)! I did the 8mm threaded bAr trick and it worked a treat. Soaked all the bolts for a few days before hand and most came off well. Cheers again

Hi, yeah I've got a multimeter and the battery does rise as the engine does. I wonder if the regulator is on its way out! Haven't been able to watch as I drive obviously. Took the dash off and had to did some PO wiring "upgrades". Took a good few hrs chopping all the old stuff out.
