It's still not having it, I've decided to order a proper FTDI usb adaptor with FTDI driver on a disk.
I swapped my usb adaptor to a prolific one and got a string of 28s and 80s rather than the pp. So I believe it to be the adapter.
I cannot for the life of Me , delete the driver , everything I've done it just bounces back auto update is turned off so I'm not entirely sure what I've done wrong.

Cleaned the OBD2 port , there is some greening on the face of it and the entrance metal is also green.
Still getting the same fault. I have tried multiple ports on my laptop makes no difference. Not sure what else to try
I updated the driver using the hardware updater, and Installed FDTI. I do have the correct driver software on my desktop , I click set up go throught it and nothing happens
Laptop is brand new and I believe it's windows 10 , the cable I bought online and received it yesterday.
I did have issues changing the drivers and I'm not entirely sure I have done it correctly.

Can the valve block/ change over be tested with soapy water or is that a non serviceable item and has to be replaced?

They were supposed to be a reputable land rover specialist , I took my discovery 3 there a few times.
They said the P38 is a specialty of it's own and neither of them had any experience of them. Threw a big spanner in the works as I would like...
There's enough guides and YouTube videos I should be fine, and t I be honest this forum has helped me more than anything.
