I'm planning a second day to take bigger boulders up there with a better machine. Might have to camp out afterwards and see if they are watching our efforts and targeting the area as soon as possible after the event

I happen to have one sitting in the garage, there are cut outs for things but the overall dimensions are 855mm x 540mm.

I have medium duty Britpart springs and they are pretty good off road and on, stiff enough on road to handle well and no probs articulating off road.
I researched it a lot before going for Britpart as I assume all parts from them are crap but the springs get good reviews, I'm happy with them.

I did the floor in the front of my 90, that meant I could hear the rear noises more.
I then did the roof in the front which made the rear noise more pronounced.
I did the rear tub and the engine noise was standing out then.
Fitted under bonnet sound proofing last weekend and now the gear box...

I don't know how old the clutch in mine was or how many miles but there was loads of life left in the friction material, I do a bit of towing but mostly drive it on roads and green lanes, to see the rivets blown out like that I can only guess it's the design of the plate that's not up to the...

That car is fugly.
I have been thinking of spraying my Defender with Raptor stuff, I quite like the effect it has and it'd make it quite noticeable if it ever got nicked. Also, no problems with scratches etc. when laning.

I'd go for flat spot / egg / tread new tyre should sort it but which one? If your spare is good it's show if you cycle the wheels

Bit of a mix, I mostly get by with metric. Make sure you have a lump hammer and a good chisel.

Power is getting to them somehow, I assume they have a permanent live and the pin switches give them an earth so they must be getting a partial earth from somewhere?

I've got the binnacle mount that they've done for a while, I assume this is about the full binnacle they now do here:
Defender Binnacle

I bought a Pioneer today, it's pretty good for the money:
Halfords | Pioneer DEH-4600BT Car Stereo
It sounds way better than my old head unit and the hands free works spot on.
I have DAB radio in my MINI and apart from trying it from time to time I just can't be bothered with it, it's ok...
