    Decisions RR Vogue v Disco 4 v Def 110

This feedback is great. I’m most drawn to the RR and I’ll get a 6 month warranty. The Vogue Centre seems to get some good ones in.. I’m buying in December so plenty of time to find the right vehicle..

    Decisions RR Vogue v Disco 4 v Def 110

The RR L322 is ironically the best value, most comfort, most power and probably as costly on wobbles as D4. (I had a D3 and it cost a few grand in repairs around 95k miles, suspension amongst other things).. 95% road use. Do about 8000 miles and tow a tourer for 1500 miles. Seen a few 3.6TDV8...

What would you go for? Range Rover Vogue 2011 4.4 TDV8, Disco 4 2013 or Defender 110 2006 .... all similar price £18k. I like all 3 but can only buy one -

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced diagnostic tool and are they easy to use? When codes come up do they explain the fault? Any codes to watch out for? I’m talking to a dealer later about a 2010 3.6TDV8 with 70,000 miles. Only done 20000 in last 4 years, 2000 last year. Now that’s either a...

T This is great. I’ll look into the info on hear in more detail. Like you say some things are straight forward and you can save the big labour costs by investing the time to do it and feel good that you’ve done it and it’s done right!

I’d like to develop maintenance skills to do my own service and repairs (up to a base level). What’s the best way to learn the skills? I’d even pay for a night class or weekend training in NE area. Not sure what is out there yet

    Hello North East

Quick intro - “I’m not a first time caller”. I’ve owned a Disco 2 (canny but needed to be parked down slope otherwise the rain leaked in through the roof), and a Disco 3 (canny bills.. but great vehicle. How many other cars can accommodate so much holiday clobber and a dog).. now looking for a...

Diagnostics is a great point but how to achieve that pre purchase. Would AA do it or how much are the devices these days? Can a seller clear codes so they don’t show up or if there is a fault will it still show? Thanks

Thanks for the guidance. I’ll dig deeper into the archives. I think from what I’ve read that the 3.6 TDV8 is a good option over the earlier 3.0 or later 4.4 TDV8. Seen a couple of good targets with sub 70k mileages and full LR service history. Checked MOT history on line and all clear which...

    Range Rover North East

Hi - if you were to buy a used Range Rover, a 3rd generation model from 2008-2011, where would you search for one in North East or would you travel anywhere in UK to get a one with great history? I’m sure there must be some go-to companies out there. Also would you advise having the AA do one...
