Go for it - I used to drive my 300tdi 70miles each day for work and I loved it, was a bit slower than using my husbands Golf, maybe 5/10 minutes each way but I wouldn't have swopped it.

The only way it will be cheaper is to replace the defender with a 'citycar' Used to do 70 mile round trip for work, all in my 300tdi - wouldn't change it for the world

more leg room, especially around the handbrake area!

Would rather sleep in that than some tents I've seen! Have you tried turning it round and cutting away some of the floor to give a little more leg room?

I am pretty sure it's for a defender, he has never had a disco, can't ask him as he is away at the moment, he won't be back for a few months.

sorry, I was hoping someone would know exactly what I meant without me having to drag it out of the garage! Here they are -

My son in law has left this with me, it's an A Bar with a winch tray on it. It looks as if it goes over the top of a standard bumper and maybe fits onto the chassis along with the bumper but with longer bolts. Any ideas anyone?

Well done, it looks great. For me to have a landy with an MoT is just a dream right now, I seem to fix one thing and then another goes wrong, not having a job gives me all the time in the world to fix it, it's the saving up for parts that screws it all up - but we will get there eventually!!
