I've tried the seal along the edges and found it made a difference. Only problem is that it's taken some of the weight off the hinges and now the bonnet rattles 'cos the plastic bushes 'float'. Packing out with shims made from plastic milk bottles sorted that, but another seal along the rear...

Sadly the seats are non-electric, cloth and somewhat tired. Jim
