i have a problem with the the auto box on my series 2 disco. the m and s lights come on if you go from forward to reverse sometimes not always. also i cannot start the car in neutral. if i switch off the ignition and restart the lights go out. could this be the wxyz switch?

my td5 does not get very warm inside and i have noticed that the aircon radiator cooling fan is working all the time. i have pulled the relay out.the car still doesn,t get warm until i have done about 15 miles.help!
