Thanks all. All Sorted, motor replaced. I broke a couple of the plastic pin things than keep the black scuttle panel / cover in place. Can you still buy these new?

Cheers mate. Is it easier to change the motor? They are only £30 - are they easy to replace? Cheers

Just a quick update. My power issue turned out to be the vacuum pipes (split and actually set up wrong by previous owner) and a faulty MAP sensor. Runs well now.

Hi,
My wiper on a 51 reg TD4 won’t self park on any mode. They stop in random places. This is an MOT failure. Is the self park switch on the motor or is there some sort of relay?
Thanks

Hi, Freelander 1 51 reg.
The radio does not remember the radio code when I turn the ignition off and remove the key, but it remembers the stored stations I have. Weird. Any ideas? Is the permanent live faulty do you think?

hi all,
Does anyone have a simple diagram (a novice can understand) of where the three pipes coming from the turbo control solenoid contect to please? Reason for asking is because I have just got the car and replacing the valve but on looking at the car I can’t find the turbo air filter and...

I’ve connected the MAP and disconnected the MAF now. So far the car has not lost power. So will run for a few days like that and see what happens. Think I will replace MAP, MAF and high pressure fuel sensor anyway. Thanks for everyone’s help. Merry Xmas

Ok thank you. Just to be sure, I’ve disconnected this sensor which I think is the map sensor and the car is running great! Looks like I need a new MAP sensor ???

Ok thanks Moz I understand the MAF sensor is in the air filter box. But I’ve not touched that yet. I’ve disconnected what I think is the MAP sensor. Which is near the front of the engine just under one of the rubber inlet hose. So far I have run the car with this unplugged for a day and a bit...

Thanks Moz. I’ve disconnected the MAP sensor for now. Well I think I have. If you are looking at the engine from the front it’s on the left under the plastic inlet manifold. I’ll see if that makes a difference. Do you think it will?

I think I have found the MAP sensor. I don’t think my car has a MAF sensor. This is the extra little pipe on plastic inlet manifold. Mines early so does not have that sensor. Does that sound right to you?

Thanks. Here is a picture of the part we think is leaking. Covered in gasket seal but hopefully you can make it out. Big job!

Hi all
I’ve had the Landy checked and It seems the noise is a failed gasket on the end of the engine manifold pipe. The bit near the turbo that connects onto the exhaust pipes. Looks very tight in there so after being told it’s £350
Just to have a look. I’ll have to do it with a friend over a...

Hi,
Hope the link works. Any ideas on the loud whistle? The car does this whenever it gets to 2000rpm and beyond. If you lift off the throttle and maintain the rpm it goes, but starts again on acceleration. No noise on idle. Thanks in advance.
