Thanks for your help, found a threaded hole about half an inch above after I cleaned all the mud out of the way, I didn't even need to extend the wires luckily

So after a while of everything running smoothly with the 90, I was driving down the road, indicate to change lanes and the windscreen wipers start going, then after an hour both windscreen wipers and indicators have stopped working(including hazards). I believe it to be an earth issue as I've...

Thanks for the replys everyone, caravan trip has been cancelled now due to the looming lockdown so I've got plenty of time to find a solution.

I know I will either do it properly or not at all.
Nope, not that I know of.

Had a look at the Dixon bate stuff as a last option I will remove but I want to keep the step, Surely there must be something out there that you can bolt on as it is a "tow step" after all?
-
I got it from paddocks a few years ago, this is a pic off the web but the step is identical. I'm guessing it may be britpart. A bit dark to go and take a good pic at the minute. I've bolted on a tow ball at the minute for recovery.
Thanks for the reply.

Hi Terry, this is the video I found.
Hope you get it sorted.

Had a search online and found a youtube video showing the fix by either bridging the existing relay, buying a new relay or the easiest fix was to disconnect the resistor under the drivers side wing, done that and everything worked as it should. So in short you were correct it was the relay :)

What switch did u change??
Mines a 97 300tdi? Got a part number if its the same?
-
Yes the side lights come on with the headlights.
Haven't checked the relay but I would assume it's got the relay they worked properly before I changed the lights to LED.
-
Fairly sure it’s not an earth fault as I’ve ran new earths, will check again though.
Il pop an email to sp, they must of had something like this before.
Thanks

So i've upgraded my headlights to led's (from sp4x4), problem I have is that as soon as I flick the switch into the 1st position to turn my side lights on I get low beam which I should get in position 2? When I put the switch into position 2 there is no change at all... high beam work just fine...
